Providence Hill Farm is a full-service hunter and jumper equestrian facility located in Jackson, Mississippi.

We provide boarding, training and lessons. Our trainers and staff are committed to providing the highest quality training and care available for our horses and riders in a nurturing and warm environment. Honesty, integrity and a commitment to Christian principles form the basis for all of our programs.

Our stable is the most up-to-date and complete facility in the South

Our facility includes the following features:

  • 36-stall heated barn with 14′ x 12′ stalls, indoor and outdoor wash racks, grooming stalls, and heated and air-conditioned tack rooms, office and lounge
  • Grand Prix Jumping Field with a bank, water jump, natural log jumps and over 35 other jumps
  • 280′ x 180′ all-weather footing outdoor ring
  • 250′ x 100′ covered arena
  • Two grass footing arenas
  • Covered European Walker with enclosed round pen

The facility is designed to produce excellence from all of our horses and riders, young and old, experience and learning. Located on 1,250 acres, Providence Hill Farm offers extensive outdoor riding opportunities. Our staff works with leading veterinarians, farriers and other equine specialists to keep all of our horses healthy and happy and capable of performing at their highest level. Our love of horses and consideration of their well-being always takes precedence.

The Mississippi College Equestrian Team

Mississippi College - Equestrian ProgramProvidence Hill Farm has hosted and coached the Mississippi College Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian Team since 2006. Members of the Team have qualified for and earned awards at the regional, zone and national finals. Students also compete at local and regional horse shows, including the Gulf Coast Winter Equestrian Festival. Boarding and training is available for student-owned horses.

Mississippi College is currently accepting donations of horses for the Team. Providence Hill Farm provides a beautiful and fully cared for career change for donated horses needing to slow down from an intense horse show schedule. Middle School and High School IEA Team

Providence Hill Farm also hosts and coaches Mississippi’s first-ever Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) middle school and high school hunt seat equestrian team — The Providence Hill Farm IEA Team.

Lessons, Boarding and Training

Lessons

Providence Hill Farm offers personalized lessons for riders at all levels, from beginners through advanced riders. Lessons are scheduled Monday through Saturday throughout the year. Contact Trainer Claudia Billups 662-202-6656

Boarding and Other Services

Our facility is fantastic and provides a wonderful home with meticulous care for every horse. Providence Hill Farm offers full training board, which includes 3-5 days per week of full training, a mixture of lessons and training rides designed around your horses needs. We also offer grooming services.

Boarding services are provided only to horses and riders in our training and lesson programs.

Training

Head Trainer, Francesca Senior, will develop a personalized training program for your horse that is carefully designed to achieve your short- and long-term goals. Whether we are providing the training rides or you are riding your horse under our instruction, our outdoor rings, grand prix field, covered ring and other facilities are designed to provide you and your horse with the most advanced and up-to-date riding surfaces available.

Showing

We encourage our students to compete at local and the “A”-rated level horse shows. You and your horse may participate in a limited or extensive show schedule. We promise to make your showing experience as educational, enjoyable and successful as possible.

A USHJA Certified Trainer, Francesca (Fran) Senior, has been in the saddle since she was 3 years old and has been competing since the age of 13. Fran brings to Providence Hill Farm 27 years of show experience, including championships at HITS Culpepper, The Desert Circuit, Ocala Winter Circuit, Gulf Coast Winter Classics, Los Angeles Invitational, Traverse City ‘Horse Shows by the Bay’, Brownland Farm Summer Show Circuit, Scottsdale Spring Classic and too many more to list. She has experience training and showing young jumpers through national level Grand Prix, as well as young Hunters through International Hunter Derby Horses. She has won several Derbies, been the Year End Champion in Zone 7 and Zone 4, as well as receiving year end championships in Mississippi, Louisiana, Nevada, Gulf Coast and Southern California. She has traveled through-out the United States and Europe purchasing and importing horses for herself and clientele. 

Fran has been coaching and training children and adult riders for over 25 years including all levels of Equitation, Hunters and Jumpers. Her students have successfully shown throughout the country including at Devon, Indoors & USHJA Pony Finals, with many of them winning state association Year End Championships, Circuit and Zone championships.

As Head Trainer, Fran oversees Providence’s Boarding, Training and Show Program, along with coaching the Providence Hill Farm Interscholastic Equestrian Team.

Fran serves on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Hunter Jumper Association, currently as Board President.


Claudia Billups – Mississippi College Equestrian Team Coach, Barn Manager and PHF Lesson Instructor

Claudia Billups grew up in Gulfport, MS only three miles from the Gulfport Horse Show.

She first began training with Holly Shepard when she was just 5 years old and has since gone on to train with Aaron Vale, Debbie Stephens, and Alan Korotkin.

Throughout her career, she has trained and showed in Ocala, Fl, Wellington, Fl, and Belgium. She has won team gold and individual bronze in 2007 at the USEF Pony Finals in pony jumpers. In 2009 her first Grand Prix in Roanoke Virginia she took home 9th place. During the year 2012 Claudia won the $10,000 American Invitational Stake Welcome. At the Atlanta Summer Horse, she won the Welcome Stake and 5th in the International Hunter Derby. At the North American Junior & Young Rider Championships, she took home team bronze and 6th place in the individual speed class. Claudia won 5th place in the $60,000 Grand Prix of Indianapolis during the summer of 2012. During 2013 Claudia participated in the George Morris Horsemanship Clinic in Wellington, Fl and is in the book Classical Riding with George H. Morris put together by the Practical Horseman from their collection of training articles from George Morris. During her last junior year, Claudia placed 7th at the ASPCA Maclay Regionals in Jacksonville Florida.

She spent some time training and showing in Wellington after her last junior year then moved to Belgium to further her training and begin to develop her professional career.

Claudia moved back to Mississippi in 2015 to study and perfect her business plan and took up the position as Barn Manager for the Oxford Mounted Patrol Unit.

Claudia is excited and very much looking forward to taking up the reins as coach of the Mississippi College Equestrian Team.
